Beach safety.

Saturday again, we turn our review to English.

But I think we're going to change strategy, because if you write and read English can help us to practice, there is nothing like a video to practice listening. So from now we look for an interesting video and we will give a short introduction. You don't need more, after all, it's Saturday and there to rest.

It's my first vacation, just now I will be directing my beach destination, so it's the perfect time to enjoy this video: Beach Safety, from NHS Choices.

Wednesday, 8th of December: Aspirinas contra el cancer. [Aspirin against cancer]: Treatment with daily aspirin for 5 years or longer reduces subsequent risk of colorectal cancer. Several lines of evidence suggest that aspirin might also reduce risk of other cancers, particularly of the gastrointestinal tract, but proof in man is lacking. We studied deaths due to cancer during and after randomised trials of daily aspirin versus control done originally for prevention of vascular events.[Page Loads: 122]

[Shark health]: Reading an article in Medical Journal a bit forced me to reflect on the differences between private medicine and public medicine ... or more specifically, about the treatment the doctor gives the patient is already in place the NHS or already in his own private practice.

Friday, 10th of December: Entre pillos anda el juego. [Trading Places game]: December 31 is the last day for infants receiving assistance from the 2,500 euros which gives the government, and of course, we know that if anything left over in this country is the rogue. It seems that he has unleashed a movement of tips and tricks to advance the delivery of the baby, but of course, all is not without risk.

El desaparecido.

Todo empezó con este tweet, allá por el 16 de agosto, y a ese fuimos uniéndonos otros muchos más hasta acabar con este otro tweet:

Nadie sabe dónde está, nadie ha vuelto a tener noticias suyas... Había desaparecido de twitter, había desaparecido su blog, su cutre-blog como a él le gustaba llamarlo, su Tarancón desde la distancia, e incluso había desaparecido su cuenta de LinkedIn.

Casualidades de la vida, @gerineldo fue a desaparecer el día en que @manyez nos hablaba de El blog del Dr. Watson. ¿Lo tendrá escondido en algún sótano y por eso tiene que escapar a las Américas?
Casualidad o no, ya teníamos un primer caso que resolver para el Dr. Watson. Y es que se le echa de menos. El último post de SobreviviRRHHé! que comentó, y comentaba todos los días, fue el 14 de agosto a las 07:18.

Al día siguiente, 17 de agosto,  parecía que se resolvía el misterio y que no había sido para tanto ya que por fin daba señales de vida, dónde sino, en el post de Salud con cosas, justo dónde el Dr. Watson podía estar buscándole.

Y todos nos quedamos más tranquilos... ¿todos? Pues yo no, ya estamos a 10 de septiembre, va a hacer un mes de su desaparición y seguimos sin volver a tener noticias de nuestro Caballero de La Mancha.

Está claro que cuando vuelva le diremos "El desaparecido", como en este temazo de Manu Chao:




En fin, esperemos que esté bien y que algún día vuelva a dar señales de vida. ¿Habrá cumplido por fin su sueño de ir a trabajar al NHS?
